While welcoming the distinguished guests and gathering Dr. (Sr) Beena, Executive Director of the Holy Family Hospital said that as the demographic trend in our country is in a transition phase, the number of elderly are on the rise. This is very much true of our own Mumbai City. As Holy Family Hospital continues to provide quality and affordable healthcare services to its community, we believe that there is a vital and unmet need for elderly care that must be addressed. This is ever more evident in a post Covid-19 world where the elderly have been one of the most impacted and vulnerable sections of society.

Dr. Ian D’souza, Medical Director of the Holy Family Hospital said that building a robust ecosystem for seniors is the need of the hour. Affordable and accessible healthcare for seniors must be given importance. This venture by Holy Family Hospital will address the present need of the elderly in our community.

The Geriatric Care Clinic will be headed by Dr. J.P. Jadwani – Senior Physician & Cardiologist of the hospital and his team of doctors comprising of Dr. Jacob Cherian, Dr. Revathy, Dr. Koulsoum Houssein alongwith physiotherapist and dietitian.

Through the launching of Senior Citizen Health Club, our aim is to place Holy Family Hospital as a preferable hospital in this most needed area of medical and pastoral care for the elderly.
